Booboo’s Beanies
Cancer hit close to home when Eden (aka “”Booboo””), was diagnosed with B-cell non-Hodgkins lymphoma. In solidarity, her family ordered matching beanies for Eden and her 3 cousins. Soon, other patients were noticing and asking about them. Eden’s mom (Tracy) and aunt (Beth) decided to have some made for the other kids in the ward. Tracy posted their idea on Facebook and in less than 2 weeks $1,200.00 was donated and Booboo’s Beanies was born!
Their goal was to provide stylish, slouchy beanies for kids going through chemotherapy at McMaster Children’s Hospital. BUT — people kept asking; “Where can I get a beanie?”
When they realized how many people wanted one, they adopted the “buy one, give one” concept. Order one of their beanies for yourself, or as a gift then, they’ll give one to a child cancer patient!
