Something completely unexpected is Clarity Unruffled Cocktails created by Twisted Lemon Restaurant. These clear, aromatic, well-balanced drinks can be enjoyed in the restaurant, or you can buy them to take home, either individually or as flights to enjoy with friends and family. Thanks to liquid alchemy and a clarification method using whole milk, which dates back nearly three centuries, they are a refined clear cocktail for the times.
Concession Road Brewing is Haldimand’s first microbrewery and taproom in the Old Firehall at the corner of Highway 3 & Highway 6 in Jarvis, Ontario. They opened their doors in February 2018 with only 3 beers on tap and now have 11 rotating taps serving everything from light to dark & seltzers to sours. The taproom hosts many events such as “Pints & Punchlines” the hilarious monthly comedy show, weekly trivia nights, live music, date nights, and more.
Bains Road Cider produces a unique and locally sourced line of ciders. By purchasing excess fruit from local farmers, harvesting fence-row fruit that would go to waste, and growing their produce, Bains Road Cider creates delicious ciders that have an extremely small environmental footprint. Available by appointment in the on-farm store or at select farmers' markets.
Caledonia’s Oranje Son Brewing is one of Ontario’s smallest breweries, operating out of a renovated home garage. Oranje Son is taking small-batch brewing seriously. At 50 litres per batch, they take a very hands-on approach. Beer is available for to-go pick-up Friday-Sunday – check hours online, as well as some random days which will be updated on Facebook & Instagram.
