Meet your local farmer Chris Houser.

Chris is a fourth-generation farmer and has been farming since he was fourteen, first, with his grandmother Madeline, and then his uncle Gord and aunt Marlene – all farming with the Houser name in mind. Later on, his wife Leah Anne, who was his girlfriend at the time, started to help out on the farm. They found their passion together, and have continued ever since.

Chris grows a wide variety of produce including, strawberries, squash, green and yellow beans, cabbage, broccoli, sweet corn, wild black caps, and asparagus. We also can’t forget to mention his delicious maple syrup that the community has been loving since 1994!

Chris has been attending the Dunnville Farmers Market since the 1980s and has always enjoyed being a part of the community. Chris has now expanded to the Hagersville and Caledonia Markets to spread his joy and knowledge with his neighboring communities.

You can find Chris and other local growers at the Dunnville, Hagersville, and Caledonia Farmers Markets.
