Haldimand is a unique location with world-class fishing on the historic Grand River as well as on Lake Erie. The river contains 80 different species of fish, in fact over half of the fish species in Canada can be found in the Grand River watershed. The diversity in the structure of the river varies greatly from place to place, guaranteeing that no two fishing trips will be the same. Lake Erie is enormous, over 25,000km2, and has ample trophy-sized walleye, yellow perch; and small and largemouth bass among other fish species.
Hook and Cook Experience
Take the work out of a great day sport fishing by chartering a boat with Hall’em In Sport Fishing. Captain James Hall not only takes you to his tried and true fishing spots but will clean your catch on the way back to shore. Take your catch home or visit one of his partner restaurants who will cook-up a mess of your own fish and chips with all the fix-ins.

An abundance of wide-open spaces and old growth forests are a definite advantage to hunting and outdoor adventures in Haldimand. Local outfitters and guides will lead you to the best places to find native wildlife species. All applicable licenses are required.
Note: There is no hunting allowed in Haldimand County on Sundays.

Whether birding for grouse, pheasant, turkey, or duck, or hunting deer, Grand River Guiding Service has a package that will suit your unique needs. Packages can be arranged with or without accommodations. If you love to hunt, you can customize something specific to your needs. Bag a trophy and enjoy your butchered meat well after the hunt is over. Butchering and taxidermy can be arranged.
