Ruthven Park National Historic Site

This Greek Revival Mansion was built in 1845 on the shores of the Grand River. Ruthven Park has trails open to the public and offers experiences, events, and mansion tours.

Beachscape at Rock Point Provincial Park

Exposed fossils of a coral reef dating back over 350 million years are embedded in the limestone shelf along the beach. Rock Point offers camping, swimming, and more on the Lake Erie shoreline.

Mohawk Island (formerly called Gull Island)

This small island is home to both a heritage lighthouse, which has been deserted for many years, and an important nesting area for birds. Designated as a National Wildlife Area, you cannot visit the island because of its nesting grounds, but it can be viewed from the mainland or by boat.
