The Sweetest Smell on Earth: A Canadian Maple Experience

Journey to a corner of the diverse Carolinian forest for this exclusive, interactive experience on a farm owned by seven generations of the same family. Richardson’s Farm & Market is tucked away in the rural landscapes of Haldimand County. Learn about how sap is made and connect with nature on a tour of the maple bush.

The farm comes alive in the fall with hayrides, pumpkin and apple picking, along with a hot apple cider.

Summer offers strawberry picking and some of the sweetest corn you will find. 

Events on an Organic Farm

At Shared Harvest Community Farm and Educational Centre, environmental stewardship and social responsibility are the name of the game. The farm grows organic produce in sustainable ways to protect the land, air, and water. Come out and enjoy events held on the farm.

Fields of Lavender

Purple Haven Lavender Farm offers a tranquil escape where visitors can immerse themselves in the calming beauty of lavender fields. From guided tours and DIY lavender workshops to picnics and farm-to-table events, it’s a perfect destination for relaxation and hands-on experiences. 

Fresh-Picked Flowers

Visit Concession Road Flower Farm's seasonal roadside flower shed to purchase fresh-picked flowers. Events and workshops include a variety of experiences, some including meals and a boutique flower bar. Sundays in July, August, and September enjoy Sunday Field Flowers U-pick.

Pick Your Own Flowers

Windecker Road Flower Farm specializes in U-pick flowers with a self-serve process, so you can visit on your schedule from dawn till dusk (open June to end of October).

Reserve a spot and bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy a day in the picturesque field of flowers. Also enjoy a romantic date or sign up for a workshop and learn more about the flowers grown on the farm and making bouquets.

Flowers are also available for weddings or special events.

Dried and Fresh Flower Experiences

Bluewater Flower Farm is known for growing sustainable, locally grown, organic flowers. Purchase flowers for your special event, purchase a do-it yourself seasonal floral bucket, or sign up for a flower subscription and enjoy them all season long as the varieties come into bloom.

Hosting a variety of workshops and experiences using both fresh and dried flowers. Whether you create a Floral Shadow Box as a keepsake or attend an Edible Kitchen Garden experience.
